Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations | EE

The Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations (EKYL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support and development of housing co-operatives in Estonia. Since its establishment in 1996, EKYL has grown to include more than 1,400 members (apartment associations) today. EKYL provides essential services including training, legal advice, and advocacy to enhance the operational efficiency and management of housing co-operatives. EKYL’s mission is to support the development of cooperative housing through community engagement, strategic planning, partnership and alliance building, communication, and the implementation of knowledge-based activities such as training, consulting, advisory services, research, and national and international cooperation projects. EKYL is a cooperation partner for ministries, municipalities, universities, other NGOs, and enterprises.

EKYL will support the project by providing expertise in the self-management of non-profit apartment associations and the implementation of innovative renovation techniques, such as the use of prefabricated modular panels. EKYL will ensure the active involvement of local stakeholders to foster community engagement and support sustainable development practices.
