On 17 September, PREFIGURE will join the webinar The multiple manifestations of housing inequalities – Inclusive living, working and moving, which is organised by a network of EU-funded projects working on housing issues.

Europe is undergoing a green and digital transformation. While these shifts hold great potential, they also risk exacertbatin existing housing inequalities if they are not designed and implemented inclusively.

The webinar has been organised by a network of EU-funded sister projects exploring the intersecting dimensions of housing inequality, from housing access and affordability to energy poverty and the social inclusion of migrants and marginalised communities.

The webinar aims to facilitate the exchange of insights and innovative practices to foster synergies among projects dedicated to ensuring that the transition to climate neutrality is inclusive and leaves no one behind. The projects will discuss, among others, pathways  to address housing inequality, good practices and practical guidelines, social housing retrofits and energy rights.

On behalf of PREFIGURE, Haris Tsavdaroglou, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, will present his work on ‘The newcomers’ right to housing and energy in refugee camps in Thessaloniki’.

Costanza Danovi, Communication Officer at Fondazione ICONS, will introduce the project.
